In 2018, Matt had a stable career, a strong salary and security within the industry.

Many people advised him against taking the risk of starting a new business during a volatile period in the energy sector.

Even with this advice, something was missing. Matt wanted the challenge of building something from the ground up. He wanted to create a culture he believed in and work within an industry that had always inspired him.

“Starting Applica was not the safest call. Many people told me not to do it. But I am so pleased that I was brave, pushed myself out of my comfort zone and built something I feel genuinely proud of. I have learned far more than I ever could in a corporate environment.” Matt Halle – CEO
