About You
You are an experienced Instrumentation, SAS, or Package Engineer with a strong background in technical procurement and supplier management within complex engineering projects. You combine technical expertise with commercial awareness and are confident leading activities that bridge engineering, procurement, and vendor coordination.
You have experience developing technical requisitions and specifications, evaluating supplier proposals, and managing vendor interfaces throughout the project lifecycle. You are comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring technical requirements are clearly communicated and delivered in line with project expectations.
You are proactive, organised, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, drive progress, and support the successful execution of technically demanding projects.
About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Procurement Engineer to support the delivery of specialised equipment packages within a major project environment.
In this role, you will lead technical procurement activities from the early stages of package strategy and requisition development through to supplier follow-up and final delivery. Acting as the primary technical interface with vendors, you will coordinate activities across disciplines to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and technical requirements.
You will be responsible for preparing technical documentation, defining scopes of work, supporting tender evaluations, and participating in supplier clarification meetings. The role will also involve performing detail engineering activities within the instrumentation and SAS disciplines, managing technical documentation and change control processes, and supporting factory acceptance testing and vendor follow-up activities.
Working closely with project teams and external suppliers, you will help drive effective execution, promote continuous improvement, and support the successful integration of complex control and instrumentation systems.
