We are representing a leading EPC energy client in Stavanger, supporting front-end engineering studies and concept development across major energy projects.


About the Role

  • We are looking for an experienced Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) with a strong background in SAS and subsea control systems to support the integration of subsea systems within the topside Safety and Automation System (SAS).
  • You will take technical responsibility for procurement activities, including developing technical requisitions, specifications and scopes of work, evaluating supplier bids and managing vendor follow-up.
  • The role will involve close coordination between subsea systems, suppliers and topside control systems, acting as the technical point of contact for vendors and ensuring effective integration across disciplines.
  • You will also be involved in detail engineering, FATs, supplier documentation and technical change control throughout the project.
  • The role is focused on the integration of the subsea system within SAS, working closely with the Subsea Alliance on the Kjøttkake project.

About You

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working on projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
  • Proven experience as a Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) or in a similar package engineering role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of topside SAS / control systems.
  • Proven experience with Subsea Control Units (SCUs), including communication, instrumentation and hydraulics.
  • Experience working on subsea integration projects and managing subsea–topside interfaces.
  • Experience with technical requisitions, vendor coordination, bid evaluations and supplier follow-up.
  • Good knowledge of EIT installations, NORSOK and relevant IEC standards.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Norwegian and English language skills.
  • Offshore certification and EX / EXi experience are advantageous
