About You
You are an experienced SAP Systems Accountant or Data Migration Specialist with a strong track record of delivering ERP data migration projects from end to end. You combine strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of finance processes and are confident working across both business and IT teams within fast-paced transformation environments.
You have in-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data structures and understand how to work with complex financial and master data sets, including customers, vendors, materials, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and transactional data. Your ability to map, interpret, and translate technical data into meaningful business information is one of your key strengths.
Alongside advanced SQL, Excel, and data handling skills, you are highly analytical, detail-oriented, and methodical in your approach to data cleansing, reconciliation, and validation. Experience with NetSuite and ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Alteryx would be highly beneficial.
You are an effective communicator who can confidently engage with stakeholders across finance, operations, and technology teams, particularly during critical project phases such as cutover and post-go-live support.
About the Role
This is a hands-on SAP Systems Accountant / Data Migration Specialist role supporting a high-profile ERP carve-out project involving the migration of data from SAP S/4HANA into NetSuite.
Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, you will take ownership of the end-to-end data migration process, ensuring data is accurately extracted, transformed, validated, and loaded into the new ERP environment. The role requires a strong understanding of ERP data structures, finance processes, and data quality management within a complex transformation programme.
Your responsibilities will include extracting and analysing SAP data, defining and documenting data mappings between SAP and NetSuite, cleansing and transforming data for migration, and supporting the loading of data using CSV files or ETL tools. You will also be responsible for validating and reconciling migrated data, ensuring financial and operational accuracy throughout the migration process.
In addition, you will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to confirm data integrity, support cutover planning and execution, and assist with post-go-live activities to ensure a smooth transition into the new ERP platform.
