Our client is a leading EPC company providing services to the energy industry. The company delivers across the full lifecycle of energy assets, including concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and maintenance.
About the Role
As a Planner, you will be responsible for the update, maintenance, and control of project task activity schedules within offshore and energy projects. You will ensure that all schedule changes are correctly implemented in project plans while maintaining control of scope, cost, and budgets.
The role includes preparing and contributing to progress reporting, critical path analysis, and overall project performance reporting. You will analyse schedule data, identify risks or deviations, and report all matters of importance to ensure effective project execution and decision-making support.
You will work closely with project teams in a structured EPC environment, ensuring planning activities are aligned with project objectives and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update, maintain, and monitor project task activity schedules.
  • Ensure all schedule changes are correctly implemented in project plans.
  • Maintain control of project scope, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare and contribute to progress reports and project status updates.
  • Perform critical path and schedule analysis to identify risks and deviations.
  • Report on key project performance indicators and matters of importance.
  • Support project teams with planning and scheduling expertise.
  • Ensure planning activities are carried out in accordance with company and project standards.

About You
You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Economics, Engineering, Project Management, or another relevant discipline.
You bring experience from project planning within offshore, energy, or EPC environments..
You are an internal experienced planner with knowledge of SAS and are confident working with planning tools such as Safran. Knowledge of MIPS is also beneficial.
You are structured, accurate, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment, with a strong service attitude and proactive approach.
You are able to work independently while also collaborating effectively across project teams and stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Economics or other relevant education.
  • Experience in project planning and scheduling in EPC/offshore projects.
  • Strong IT skills and experience with planning tools, especially Safran.
  • Knowledge of MIPS and SAS planning systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with schedule control, progress reporting, and critical path analysis.
  • Structured, accurate, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proactive and customer-focused mindset.

Location & Working Requirements

  • Based in Stavanger, Norway.
  • Must be able to work from the Stavanger office.
  • Must meet project requirements and rates as agreed.
