Job Title: Planner
Location: Paris, France
Employment Type: Renewable Contract

About You

You are a highly experienced and motivated planning professional with a strong track record in large-scale Oil & Gas development projects. You are comfortable working within complex, global environments and bring extensive international and multi-cultural experience. With a degree in Engineering, and ideally a Master’s qualification for more senior roles, you have built a career spanning at least fifteen years in the Oil & Gas industry, including a minimum of ten years in direct project services.

Your experience covers the full project lifecycle, from early development phases such as FEL, conceptual and FEED through to execution. You have worked across upstream and midstream projects, including offshore gas developments, subsea systems, pipelines, LNG facilities, and floating production units. You are highly proficient in planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project, and confident working with databases and advanced Excel functions.

You are a strong communicator and collaborative team player, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders. You demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are comfortable working independently and responding quickly to changing project needs. Fluency in English is essential, and additional languages are an advantage. A willingness to travel and relocate internationally is key, and professional certifications such as PMI or AACEI are considered beneficial.

About the Role

As a Planner, you will provide expert guidance on planning, scheduling, and broader Project Controls activities across a major global development programme. You will play a central role in ensuring the integrity, consistency, and quality of portfolio-level plans and schedules, while supporting the effective implementation of the Project Control Framework, including associated processes, procedures, and systems.

You will support senior project control leadership in developing and maintaining project plans and schedules, while coordinating a team of planners and control engineers. Your responsibilities will include integrating schedules across multiple projects, contractors, and disciplines, ensuring alignment and consistency across the programme. You will be accountable for developing, maintaining, and updating schedules to accurately reflect project progress, as well as analysing performance, productivity, and forecasting future outcomes.

The role requires close collaboration with contractors, consultants, and fabrication teams, as well as internal project stakeholders. You will interpret technical documentation to inform planning activities, contribute to the development of planning systems and tools, and ensure the integrity of key structures such as the Work Breakdown Structure across all projects. You will also be responsible for reporting progress, identifying trends, and advising on corrective actions where required.

In addition, you will maintain and enhance planning procedures and systems, oversee the creation and integrity of planning databases, and ensure consistent application of planning standards across the programme. You will represent the Project Control function in discussions with contractors and partners, providing expert input on all planning and scheduling matters.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a globally significant programme that demands high levels of expertise, coordination, and international experience.
