Job Title: Network Analyst III
Job Location: Energy Corridor, Houston, Texas
Contract Type: Contract to Full time position
Hours: Monday to Thursday – 7.30am – 5.30pm in office and Friday 7.30am to 11.30am remotely
About the Role:
The Network Analyst, will be a member of the IT Global Networking team at the company’s Houston, office reporting to the Manager – Network Services
This position will work within the clients operations team to support the enterprise network and contribute to projects when needed requiring network expertise.
Actively participate in the planning, design, and implementation of network related projects
Act as an escalation resource for reported network or application performance issues
Manage and support the network monitoring and configuration management software
Provide technical and architectural support for field networks to include industrial switches, routers, and wireless bridges
Assist in developing the overall network strategy for globally
Utilize service portal to manage and create service requests, outages, and change requests
Identify, evaluate and recommend technologies using best practices/industry standards
Identify innovative ways to utilize existing applications and technologies
Forecast and coordinate management of change for scheduled maintenance weekends
Effectively communicate with end users and peers around the world
International and Domestic travel may be required
About You:

Extensive design, deployment and troubleshooting experience with large enterprises
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills. The ability to clearly articulate complex issues

Project management and customer interfacing capabilities
-
Extensive experience with Palo Alto products including Panorama, PA NextGen Firewalls and Prisma
-
Extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewall and wireless hardware
-
Extensive experience with Solarwinds Network Management suite of applications
-
Extensive experience with Wireshark and packet level analysis and application performance root cause analysis

Experience designing and troubleshooting OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Firewalls, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, DMVPNs, Spanning tree and network security

Experienced with software defined networking

High level of experience with Cisco Nexus Data Center Architecture

High level of experience with Cisco ISE/NAC
-
Working knowledge of SNMP, Netflow, IP SLA and other management protocols

Experience working in Oil and Gas Industry – specifically with field support technicians

CCNP certification a plus
