Maintenance Technician – I&C

Maintenance Specialist, I&C
W2 Contract
Houston, TX

About the Client
The client is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, their modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

About You
You bring at least five years of hands-on maintenance experience as an Electrical or I&E Technician within Oil & Gas, Midstream, or similar industrial operations. You have strong practical troubleshooting skills across control systems such as Allen Bradley ControlLogix/GuardLogix, GE Mark VIe/VIeS, analyzers, and F&G systems. Your background includes experience with industrial networks, dedicated application systems, and maintenance execution in line with safety and regulatory requirements.

You’re highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing detailed maintenance data within a CMMS – preferably SAP. You understand SPIL/SPIR development, spare parts optimization, BOM building, and the work order lifecycle. You’re able to collaborate across multiple departments, communicate clearly with teams and vendors, and maintain a high standard of accuracy. A technical degree or nationally recognized certification is a plus, and you’re able to travel periodically and obtain a TWIC if required.

About the Role
We’re seeking a Maintenance Specialist, Instrumentation & Controls to support the development of the CPX pipeline maintenance management system (SAP). In this role, you’ll serve as the Subject Matter Expert for I&C systems, working closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Materials Management, and other key stakeholders to build out accurate and reliable maintenance data for operations.

You will support preventive and corrective maintenance planning, populate load sheets, complete SPIL/SPIR reviews, map material masters, and help define BOM structures. This position requires solid understanding of control systems – including DCS, PLCs, SIS, and F&G – as well as strong working knowledge of industrial communication networks, analyzers, and applicable standards and regulations. You'll also contribute to tracking progress, identifying supply-chain gaps, coordinating spare parts information, and ensuring compliance with HSSE processes and maintenance procedures.

What’s on Offer?
This opportunity is a long-term W2 Contract via Applica. We’ll do your payroll, provide medical, dental, vision, and 401K matching, whilst you get to work with a great client.
