Job Title: Lead Automation, I&C Engineer

Duration: 12 months renewable
About the Role:
As Discipline Lead Automation & I&C, you are responsible for, among other things:
- Lead and coordinate all parts of automation and instrumentation in the project
- Ensure that deliveries meet technical requirements, quality standards and project specifications
- Lead technical investigations in collaboration with internal functions, design teams and contractors
Participate in technical design of:
- BioCCS plant automation and instrumentation system (EIC – Electrical, Instrument & Control)
- Function descriptions for drive systems (MCC, Simocode, AUMA, VFD, etc.)
- Low-voltage switchgear (MCC) with associated starting and driving equipment
- Distributed power distribution boards
- Monitor process design, P&ID and associated system and functional analyses
- Participate in and monitor HAZOP work, including safety integrity assessment (SIL) classification
- Participate in the analysis and design of control and regulation algorithms
- Coordinate interfaces between electrical power and automation systems for control and monitoring
- Plan, review and approve drawings within automation and instrumentation and follow up on comments and actions against contractors
- Participate in the development of Project Design Manual together with EPC supplier (e.g. hookups, type circuits, hardware and software, alarm management)
- Lead and participate in supplier meetings with EPC and EP suppliers
- Identify, analyze and manage risks and develop and implement action plans
- Manage interfaces with other disciplines and functions to ensure cohesive project delivery
- Report to Engineering Lead regarding status, risks, technical issues and progress
- Provide technical leadership and support to the automation and I&C team, including resource planning
- Ensure that input from HSE, operations and other functions is integrated for optimal technical solutions
About YOU:
- Solid experience in automation, instrumentation and control systems, preferably from large-scale projects in the energy, process, oil or gas industries
- Strong technical expertise in automation and instrumentation with the ability to provide technical guidance and overall control
- Experience in risk management and technical investigations in complex project environments
Very good knowledge in:
- Industrial process automation
- P&ID-based instrumentation
- HAZOP and SIL classification
- Automation systems and DCS
- Communication system (e.g. Profinet, Modbus, IEC 61850)
Basic knowledge in:
- Control and regulation functions and analysis of control algorithms
- HVAC, fire, gas, evacuation and alarm systems
- Instrumentation and analyzers
- Experience in technical review of design and relationship documents
- Experience with or good understanding of plant documentation (advantageous)
- Good ability to express yourself in English, both spoken and written.
- Very good communication and collaboration skills
