About the Company
We're representing a leading energy client delivering complex offshore engineering projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. This opportunity offers the chance to work on EPCI modification and maintenance projects, supporting the design and delivery of advanced Safety and Automation Systems (SAS) across offshore facilities.
About the Role
As an LC SAS Engineer, you'll play a key role in the design, integration and delivery of Safety and Automation Systems for offshore projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering SAS engineering for EPCI modification and maintenance projects.
- Designing and integrating Safety and Automation Systems (SAS).
- Developing system designs for process, utility and electrical systems, including interfaces, Functional Specifications (FS), System Control Diagrams (SCDs) and HMI inputs.
- Participating in Fire & Gas (F&G) safety reviews and developing F&G, Cause & Effect (C&E), ESD/PSD logic and related engineering documentation.
- Supporting equipment package integration and electrical automation systems.
- Managing vendor interfaces, reviewing technical documentation and participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
- Producing engineering documentation, data registers and work packages.
- Providing engineering support during installation, commissioning and Mechanical Completion (MC).
- Carrying out offshore surveys and ensuring as-built documentation is updated.
- Promoting continuous improvement, quality and HSSE throughout project delivery.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- A Bachelor's, Master's, Associate Degree or relevant vocational qualification in Engineering or Automation.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in SAS, control systems or automation engineering.
- Strong knowledge of process control systems, Fire & Gas systems and Emergency/Process Shutdown (ESD/PSD) systems.
- Experience specifying, integrating and commissioning control and safety systems.
- Knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 functional safety standards.
- Experience developing system philosophies, specifications and alarm management documentation.
- The ability to manage supplier interfaces and review hardware and software deliverables.
- Experience supporting installation, commissioning and mechanical completion activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
