IT Procurement Specialist
Job Title: IT Procurement Specialist
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Employment Type: Renewable Contract
About the Company
Our client is delivering a pioneering Bio-Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) programme that is helping to shape the future of sustainable energy and carbon reduction. As part of this large-scale engineering and digital transformation project, they are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist & Manager to lead the procurement of critical IT solutions that will support future operations and long-term project success.
About the Role
Reporting to the Contracting & Procurement Lead and the IT Procurement Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end procurement process for IT hardware, software, digital solutions and professional services that support the delivery and future operation of the BECCS programme.
Working closely with project teams, IT, engineering, legal, cybersecurity and operational stakeholders, you will develop procurement strategies that align with project objectives while ensuring commercial value, regulatory compliance and long-term operational reliability. You will lead supplier sourcing, evaluations, commercial negotiations and contract awards, ensuring procurement activities remain aligned with project schedules and key milestones.
You will also be responsible for identifying and managing procurement risks, including supplier dependencies, integration challenges and regulatory requirements, while maintaining accurate, auditable procurement documentation throughout the contract lifecycle. As the lead for IT procurement within the programme, you will provide regular updates on supplier performance, commercial risks and procurement progress to senior stakeholders and project leadership, helping to support informed decision-making across the programme.
About You
You are an experienced IT Procurement professional with a strong background in strategic sourcing and commercial contract management. With at least five years' experience managing complex IT procurements, you are confident negotiating high-value contracts, developing procurement strategies and building strong supplier relationships within large, fast-paced project environments.
You have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software, cloud services and digital technologies, alongside strong commercial awareness and knowledge of supplier evaluation, contract negotiation and risk management. Experience working on major capital investment projects or within regulated industries would be highly advantageous, particularly where cybersecurity, compliance or digital transformation have formed part of the procurement strategy.
You are organised, commercially minded and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Your collaborative approach enables you to build effective relationships across technical and business teams, while your communication skills allow you to confidently influence stakeholders and present recommendations to senior management. You hold a relevant degree in a discipline such as Business, Finance, Economics or Law and are fluent in both Swedish and English.
What's on Offer?

You'll join a collaborative, forward-thinking project environment with the opportunity to shape strategic IT procurement, influence major commercial decisions and work alongside experienced professionals on a programme at the forefront of the energy transition. This is a full-time position based in Stockholm, with occasional travel required as part of the role.
