Our client is a leading EPC company that provides services to the energy industry. The client offers services across the entire lifecycle of energy assets, including concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and maintenance.


About the Role
The Instrument Engineer will be responsible for delivering field instrumentation, automation, and control system engineering activities throughout the FEED and EPCI phases of the project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • General field instrument engineering and system design
  • Automation and control systems engineering
  • Fire & Gas systems engineering
  • Instrument layout design
  • Cable sizing, dimensioning, and calculations
  • Preparation of study reports and engineering documentation
  • Development of MTOs and technical requisitions
  • Preparation of installation work packs and job cards
  • Coordination with suppliers, client representatives, and other engineering disciplines
  • Progress planning, monitoring, and reporting within the discipline
  • Engineering input to work packages
  • As-built documentation and red-line mark-up updates from offshore
  • Change management support and identification of engineering changes
  • Offshore surveys as required
  • Supporting quality, HSSE, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers where required

About You

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Instrument Engineering experience
  • Previous experience working on FEED studies and EPCI projects
  • Strong understanding of NORSOK standards and regulations applicable to the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS)
  • Experience within offshore energy projects

Required software experience:

  • STID
  • TIME
  • Xait
  • Navisworks

Required certifications:

  • Ex Basic
  • Exi Basic
  • Offshore Safety Training (GSK)
  • Valid offshore certification
