Our client is a global engineering and project delivery organization supporting major energy and infrastructure developments worldwide. Acting as the EPC contractor on a large-scale Gulf Coast energy project, they are currently delivering a complex, high-profile construction program involving multiple execution scopes and stakeholders.

With construction activities continuing to ramp up on site, this opportunity offers the chance to join a major project during a critical phase of execution, working alongside senior leadership, EPCM partners, and the end client within a fast-paced mega-project environment.

About the role
The successful EPC Construction Director will lead all site-based construction activities across the project, with responsibility for safety, execution strategy, workforce leadership, productivity, and delivery performance.

The position will oversee a substantial construction workforce, while coordinating closely with EPCM teams responsible for delivery of the power island scope. The successful candidate will also operate as part of an Integrated Project Management Team, working collaboratively with the customer and key project stakeholders to ensure alignment across all construction activities.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong field presence, executive-level communication skills, and the ability to drive construction execution

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred

• 15+ years of major project construction leadership experience within energy infrastructure, LNG, petrochemical, power, or EPC environments

• Proven experience managing large-scale site construction teams and direct-hire craft labor forces

• Strong understanding of EPC, EPCM, and owner/operator delivery models

• Previous experience operating within an IPMT structure is highly desirable

• Demonstrated success leading construction execution on complex, fast-track mega-projects

• Strong HSE leadership mindset with a focus on safe and efficient project delivery

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively at executive and field level

• Experience supporting Gulf Coast energy projects preferred

• LNG project experience strongly preferred
