Electrical Maintenance Specialist
We are seeking qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Specialist, Electrical in Houston to support the development of the CPX maintenance management system (SAP). This is a contract position.
General Description:
The Maintenance Specialist, Electrical will report to the Sr. Manager, Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, supporting the maintenance management system development for the CPX Pipeline system and compressor station.
Responsibilities:
- Functions as Maintenance SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Electrical systems.
- Understand maintenance work scope and applicable Operations and Maintenance processes and procedures.
- Understand the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance electrical work according to Pipeline HSSE process, procedures, standards and regulations.
- Provide tracking, status reporting, and project progress updates to project management.
- Responsible for population of Load Sheets associated with the workstream.
- Functions as interface between Maintenance, Engineering and other departments.
- Coordinate identification of local suppliers for spare data/pricing information (missing)
- Responsible to populate missing core tag data in SPILs as required.
- Responsible to submit MM creation based on vendor recommended spares where missing or as required for BOM development.
- Responsible to map MMs to associated SPIL once identified for BOM development
- Support Material Management (as needed):
- Optimization of spare parts (Interchangeability, commodity items, repairable items, and vendor consignment options).
- Workshops to document the spare part and BOM design.
- Gathering and review SPIR/SPIL lists per vendor package/PO.

Education:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Technical degree in Electrical, or applicable nationally recognized standard Certification. (i.e. NCCER / NICET).
Experience:
- Maintenance planning and scheduling experience preferred.
- Understanding of project development and delivery.
- Minimum Five years of maintenance electrical technician work experience in Oil & Gas, Midstream operations.
- Strong knowledge of electrical industrial standards and regulations.
- Applied knowledge of electrical and controls such as medium and low voltage generators, motors, switchgear, motor control centers, cathodic protection, motor operated valves, lighting.
- Knowledge with CMMS systems work management process (Work order process). SAP experience is preferred.
- Interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with MOC, PSSR, HAZID/HAZOP.
- Periodic travel to project sites and consultant offices.
- TWIC holder or ability to obtain TWIC.
