About You
You are a highly skilled and motivated professional with extensive experience in large-scale Oil & Gas development projects. You are comfortable operating in complex, international environments and bring a strong understanding of multi-cultural project delivery. Your background includes a degree in Engineering, with a Master’s degree considered an advantage for more senior positions, alongside at least ten years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry and a minimum of seven years in direct project services roles.
You have developed expertise across the full project lifecycle, including early development phases such as FEL, conceptual and FEED, as well as execution. Your experience may include upstream and midstream developments such as offshore gas, subsea systems, pipelines, LNG facilities, or floating production units. You are confident using planning and scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project and are highly proficient in Excel and database management.
You are an effective communicator with excellent written and spoken English, and additional languages are considered beneficial. You bring a collaborative, team-oriented mindset, combined with the ability to work independently and take initiative. You are adaptable, able to manage changing priorities, and capable of handling multiple tasks under pressure. A willingness to travel and relocate internationally is essential for success in this role. Professional certifications such as PMI or AACEI are advantageous.
About the Role
As a Contract Management Advisor, you will provide expert-level guidance on all contract administration matters within a major global development project. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and effective management of contracts following award, acting as a key interface between contractors and the project organisation on all contractual issues.
In this role, you will develop and implement contract administration plans and procedures, supporting both pre-award and post-award activities, including input into tendering processes and technical evaluations. You will oversee contract execution, including the management of change processes, variation orders, and contractual documentation. A key part of your responsibilities will involve maintaining accurate contract logs, communication records, and project databases, while ensuring effective coordination between all stakeholders.
You will also play a central role in resolving commercial issues, claims, and disputes, ensuring alignment across all parties involved. In addition, you will monitor contractor performance, including their management of subcontractors, and provide regular reporting on contract administration activities and key performance indicators. The role requires close collaboration with project control disciplines such as cost, risk, and planning, ensuring full integration at the project level.
