We're representing a leading energy client delivering large-scale industrial and offshore projects in Norway. This is an exciting opportunity to join a major project team, playing a key role in overseeing civil construction activities and ensuring safe, high-quality project execution.

About the Role
As a Lead Civil Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing and overseeing civil construction activities, ensuring contractors deliver work safely, on schedule and in line with project specifications. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the civil contractor's performance, progress and resource capacity.
• Ensuring work is executed in accordance with project specifications, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Following up project schedules, budgets and key milestones.
• Reviewing and managing mechanical completion (MC) documentation for civil construction activities.
• Providing technical input into construction methods, fabrication strategies and project planning.
• Identifying project risks, reporting non-conformances and recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project execution.
• Leading and supporting the civil team through regular communication, feedback and development.
• Promoting a strong HSE culture and ensuring all work complies with corporate and project safety requirements.
• Participating in planning meetings and working closely with the Construction Manager to drive project success.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:

• Technical education related to Civil Engineering, Construction or Concrete Engineering.
• Strong experience working on civil construction projects involving industrial buildings.
• Practical experience with reinforced concrete construction.
• Previous experience following up and managing civil contractors.
• Leadership or supervisory experience within construction projects.
• A solid understanding of project execution, construction planning and contractor management.
• Strong communication skills in English, with Norwegian highly desirable.
• The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
