About You

You are an experienced Buyer or Procurement Specialist with a proven track record of managing equipment procurement within complex engineering, manufacturing, energy, or industrial project environments. You combine strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand technical requirements, enabling you to effectively manage supplier relationships and drive successful procurement outcomes.

You are confident leading procurement activities from strategy development through to contract award and delivery, while balancing cost, quality, schedule, and risk considerations. Your collaborative approach allows you to build strong relationships with suppliers, engineering teams, and key project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the procurement process.

You are highly organised, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and identify opportunities to improve project performance and commercial outcomes.


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support the procurement of critical equipment packages within a major project environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating end-to-end procurement activities for assigned packages, ensuring delivery in line with project objectives, procedures, and timelines. You will develop procurement strategies and plans, engage with suppliers throughout the tendering process, and support the negotiation and placement of purchase orders.

Working closely with engineering, integration teams, and other project stakeholders, you will monitor supplier performance, oversee equipment delivery schedules, and ensure that documentation and commercial obligations are managed effectively. You will also support change management activities, warranty matters, and invoice control while maintaining visibility of procurement risks and opportunities.
