PROJECT
West White Rose Project, Ingleside Texas
Our Client operate a $8.5bn offshore platform, destined for 100miles offshore Canada in the Atlantic Ocean.
The Challenge
The Senior PM on the project was struggling to find the required resources to successfully deliver the project. The commissioning partner for our Client had committed to being able to deliver the full scope. However, the reality was, they were only able to deliver commissioning technicians, leaving a wide range of other vacancies in a critical state.
Solution
Having heard of the work Applica had done with another Client, The Project Director introduced Applica to the project Manager in Ingleside. Applica worked closely with them to understand the scope of requirements and build out job descriptions for the positions they needed to fill, which included Commissioning Leads, PTW Advisors / Leads, LOTO Coordinators, Vendor Coordinators, Logistics Coordinators, HSE Advisors etc. We conducted real-time market benchmarking research to establish accurate real-time rates and put together a proposal. This was accepted, and we got to work on filling the jobs.
Results
We successfully filled the Lead positions to provide a layer of management to build out the team below. This created stability in the team and ensured on time delivery of the project in line with our Client’s committments.
We designed and implemented an FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) compliant solution, to ensure adherence to United States labor law, whilst keeping the invoice rates within the client budget. We then conducted an extensive and highly targeted networking campaign, to find the best talent available in the US. This ensured full market coverage, and positions were filled in a timely manner.
Due to our in-depth technical knowledge and strong understanding of the commissioning market in the US, we have been able to ensure fast and accurate delivery of resources to the project so far. This has helped our Client deliver their scope of work, within time and budget.
