About You

You are an experienced procurement professional with a strong commercial mindset and solid knowledge of supply chain activities within the energy sector. You’re structured, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple complex procurement packages simultaneously.

You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and take a proactive, solution-oriented approach to your work. With a strong focus on quality, cost, delivery, and QHSE, you enjoy taking ownership and driving procurement activities from start to finish.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (long, relevant experience may compensate)

  • 3–5+ years of relevant procurement experience

  • Solid, hands-on knowledge of procurement processes and contract management

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel

  • Fluency in both Norwegian and English

  • A structured, systematic, and analytical working style


About the Role

As Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in the Supply Chain organization, executing procurement activities across the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for managing procurement packages from requisition through contract close-out, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing procurement activities in line with applicable regulations, policies, and agreements

  • Developing negotiation strategies and minimizing commercial and contractual risk

  • Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying suppliers of equipment, materials, and services

  • Preparing ITT documentation and conducting tender evaluations and negotiations

  • Establishing contract strategies and contract forms

  • Acting as the single point of contact for all commercial discussions with suppliers

  • Close collaboration with engineering, fabrication, QHSE, cost control, and other stakeholders

  • Following up procurement reporting and maintaining a clear audit trail

  • Coordinating supplier quality surveillance and ensuring timely documentation delivery

  • Managing variation orders (VORs) including risk, budget, reporting, and approvals

  • Closing procurement packages, including final accounts and lessons learned

The position is considered based in Stavanger and offered as a renewable consultant assignment.
