Marine Installation Engineer
Job Location: Stavanger or Oslo, Norway (100% office-based + sporadic offshore trips)
Client: Global EPC
Contract duration: 1 year + possible extension
Experience & Background
- 5–15 years of relevant subsea experience
- Proven project engineer experience from subsea construction, SURF, installation, or similar offshore projects
- Familiarity with typical company project systems and tools (e.g. PIMS, Navisworks, SAP, MS Project) is an advantage
Profile Requirements
- Strong technical and organizational skills
- Capable of managing work scopes independently and within project teams
- English fluency is required; Norwegian is an advantage
- Offshore medical and certificates must be valid (or in process)
- Short notice availability is preferred, but perfect profiles with longer notice periods will also be considered
Typical Responsibilities
- Planning and execution of installation projects – such as pipelay, umbilical installation, manifolds, and subsea structures.
- Technical follow-up of the engineering scope, including drawings, calculations, procedures, and work instructions.
- Coordination with offshore teams, vessels, and suppliers.
- Preparation of installation procedures, risk assessments, MOCs, and HSEQ documentation.
- Participation in project meetings and coordination with clients.
- Monitoring of progress, cost, and quality throughout project execution.
- Support during offshore operations – either from the office (onshore support) or through short offshore trips.

- SAP (for cost control and resource management)
- Navisworks, AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera P6
- Teamcenter and SharePoint for document control and collaboration
- International standards: DNV, NORSOK, API
