Are you ready to embark on a new challenge in the Oil & gas industry? My client a major Operating company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in the Netherlands. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work on exciting cutting edge offshore projects.

We are looking for a Rotating Engineer with a focus on instrumentation and controls related to gas turbines, centrifugal process gas compressors and their auxiliaries. Gas Turbine know-how is a must have, Centrifugal Compressor know-how is a preference.
 
The role:
We need a hands-on, pragmatic person, who can work with the equipment, has detailed knowledge of the equipment involved and able to solve issues on the spot to have the machine back in service again.

Within the company the rotating equipment engineer has evolved more to a jack of several trades, both in an engineering and operational offshore environment, capable of the engineering as well as the execution part.

4 semi unmanned treatment centers located offshore in the North Sea with Turbo machines including Gas Compression and Power Generation
   
Responsibilities

  • In general, is responsible for the upkeep of the trades related rotating equipment, including planning, preparation, execution, evaluation and improvement.
  • Is responsible for planning, preparation, co-ordination and execution of major overhauls/service exchanges and unscheduled breakdowns.
  • Is responsible for the review and evaluation of inspection reports such as borescopic inspections, vibration analyses and condition monitoring like lube oil analyses and RAID review.

 
Qualifications/Experience required

  • Education level: MBO+/HBO/University
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in heavy rotating equipment maintenance.
  • Specific skills: strong knowledges of turbo machinery, pumps, compressors, PLC controls, instrumentation. Decision maker.
  • Languages: Fluent in English is mandatory, Dutch is a preference
