With offices in Dallas, Houston, and London, the business provides high-level advisory and dispute resolution services across complex energy projects and operations.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced LNG Projects Consultant to support advisory and dispute resolution assignments related to major LNG and natural gas infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience across the design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, startup, and operation of LNG, natural gas processing, and regasification facilities. This role will involve evaluating complex technical, operational, commercial, cost, and schedule matters associated with large-scale LNG developments.

You will apply your industry expertise to help clients understand project performance, identify key risks, assess delays and cost overruns, and resolve complex engineering and construction issues. The role may also involve supporting expert reports, client presentations, and dispute-related assignments.

The preferred candidate will have worked on major LNG projects valued at more than $500 million and will possess a strong understanding of the complete LNG supply chain, including:

  • Pipelines and natural gas transportation
  • Gas pretreatment and processing
  • Liquefaction facilities
  • Power generation
  • LNG storage
  • Marine jetties and cargo loading facilities
  • Regasification terminals

Candidates should have previously held senior technical, construction, project management, or corporate leadership positions with responsibility for delivering key project metrics.

About You

You are a senior LNG professional who can combine deep technical knowledge with strong project execution and client-facing capabilities.

You will ideally bring experience in:

  • Major LNG facility projects with an EPC contractor, operator, or owner organization
  • Applying LNG operational requirements throughout design, construction, commissioning, and startup
  • Managing or overseeing EPC contract planning, execution, project controls, cost, and schedule
  • Assessing capital cost and schedule performance on major LNG projects
  • Evaluating the impact of delays and cost overruns on commercial and product delivery commitments
  • Construction, commissioning, and startup of LNG liquefaction or regasification facilities
  • International and U.S.-based project execution
  • Preparing detailed reports and presenting complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Additional experience in natural gas processing, pipelines, power generation, construction management, or project management would be highly beneficial. Experience serving as a testifying expert in engineering or construction disputes would also be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 20 years of LNG industry experience
  • At least five years of experience in senior-level leadership positions
  • Strong report writing, presentation, and client management skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical matters in clear, straightforward terms
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, typically less than 10%

An MBA, Professional Engineer license, or equivalent professional qualification would be considered an advantage.
