About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Midstream Projects/Operations Consultant to join a growing team focused on supporting clients throughout the North American midstream oil and gas industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, commercial insight, and strategic thinking to help clients evaluate investments, improve operations, and solve complex business challenges.

In this role, you’ll contribute to advisory and dispute resolution projects while supporting the continued growth of the firm’s Midstream Services practice. You’ll work closely with clients on project evaluations, commercial assessments, due diligence efforts, feasibility studies, and operational improvements. Beyond project execution, you’ll also play an active role in business development by fostering client relationships, attending industry events, and representing the firm through presentations and technical publications.

About You

We’re looking for a seasoned midstream professional who brings both technical depth and commercial awareness, with the ability to translate complex industry challenges into practical business solutions.

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

  • Midstream gathering, processing, and transportation of crude oil, natural gas, condensate, and NGLs
  • Evaluating gas gathering and processing projects, including commercial feasibility and strategic acquisitions
  • Design, construction, and operation of gas processing facilities
  • Midstream mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, financial analysis, and cash flow modeling
  • Market studies, price forecasting, feasibility studies, and profit improvement initiatives
  • Joint venture structures and commercial agreements within the U.S. shale industry
  • Preparing technical reports, delivering client presentations, and managing executive-level relationships
  • Independent engineering reviews and oversight (preferred)
  • Commodity risk and counterparty risk assessments (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
  • 15+ years of experience within the midstream oil & gas sector
  • Proven experience in senior-level technical or leadership positions
  • MBA, Professional Engineer (PE) license, or PMP certification are considered strong assets
