Commissioning Engineer – Process

Position: Commissioning Engineer – 
Location: Bergen, Norway
Contract Duration: 01 July 2026 – 30 June 2027
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer – Process. The successful candidate will play a key role during the engineering and commissioning phases, ensuring safe and efficient preparation, execution, and completion of commissioning activities related to Safety and Automation Systems (SAS).
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and prepare commissioning procedures during the engineering phase.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with discipline engineers, equipment suppliers, and the client's operations personnel.
  • Ensure commissioning procedures and activities comply with project requirements, standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Support planning and execution of commissioning activities for SAS-related systems.
  • Contribute to safe, systematic, and efficient commissioning and handover processes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary reviews and commissioning meetings.
  • Follow up completion and commissioning documentation in relevant project systems.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or science.
  • Alternatively, technical education combined with extensive practical experience in commissioning and completion.
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience within commissioning and completion activities.
  • Proven commissioning experience from industrial, offshore, energy, or process industry projects.
  • Strong understanding of Safety and Automation Systems (SAS).
  • Good knowledge of instrumentation, safety systems, and automation systems.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical competence within instrumentation, automation, and safety systems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach to work.

Software Competence

  • Experience with DCP
  • Experience with ProCoSys

Language Requirements

  • Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
