Our client is a leading EPC company providing services to the energy industry. The company delivers across the full lifecycle of energy assets, including concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and maintenance.
About the Role
As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and developing project schedules in line with business case strategies across both early-phase and execution projects.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure progress is achieved in accordance with project targets, with strong focus on schedule integrity, milestone achievement, and critical path performance.
The role includes active follow-up of project plans, milestones, and critical paths, as well as contributing to the development and maintenance of the overall project planning basis. You will ensure consistency between contractor schedules and the integrated project plan.
You will also support planning analysis, including trend analysis, float evaluation, and critical path development, while proactively identifying and proposing schedule recovery actions to maintain key milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and develop project schedules in line with business case strategies for both early phase and execution projects.
- Ensure progress is achieved in accordance with project targets through close stakeholder collaboration.
- Actively follow up project plans, milestones, and critical paths.
- Develop, maintain, and update specific project plans and integrated scheduling frameworks.
- Contribute to the setup and development of the project planning basis.
- Ensure consistency between contractor schedules and the overall project master plan.
- Monitor and proactively follow up project progress development.
- Maintain effective communication between contractors, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Perform planning, trend analysis, and evaluate float and critical path development.
- Identify and propose schedule recovery actions and support maintenance of key milestones.
About You
You hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Economics.
You have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within project planning, preferably in offshore, energy, or EPC environments.
You are fluent in both Norwegian and English and are confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management and contractors.
You are proactive, structured, and maintain a positive mindset, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Skills & Experience
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Economics.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in project planning (EPC/offshore/energy preferred).
- Strong experience with Safran planning software.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with schedule development, milestone tracking, and critical path analysis.
- Strong understanding of planning principles, float analysis, and trend reporting.
- Experience ensuring alignment between contractor and integrated project schedules.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in Norwegian and English.
