Scheduling Analyst III

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite / Hybrid)
Schedule: 5 days onsite during training (first few weeks), then 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
Contract Length: 12 months
 

Overview

We’re supporting the addition of two Scheduling Analysts to assist with high-volume inventory transaction clean-up and reconciliation efforts across Renewables and Heavies.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, real-time inventory tracking within SAP by reviewing, correcting, and validating transaction data tied to product movements.

We are hiring for two focus areas:

  • Renewables: Renewable feedstocks, sustainable aviation products
  • Heavies: Fuel oil and crude/feedstocks

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and validate product movement transactions to ensure accuracy within SAP S/4
  • Analyze inventory builds/draws and run recurring system reports
  • Review and resolve discrepancies, including escalated DEW (Discrepancy Error Workbench) items
  • Support schedulers, traders, and accounting to ensure accurate reflection of trades and positions
  • Execute corrections related to nominations, accruals, and ticketing errors
  • Assist with troubleshooting when transactions do not produce expected inventory results
  • Prepare reconciliation summaries and communicate findings to leadership
  • Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Provide support during high-volume periods (month-end close)

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in scheduling, inventory, or transaction analysis
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets
  • Experience with SAP (S/4 preferred) and inventory reporting
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Oil & gas industry experience required
