Job Title: Document Controller
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Employment Type: Renewable Contract
Client: Operating Utilities Company

About you
You have a technical university education and strong experience working with technical documentation and drawings, ideally within large technical or industrial projects. You have successfully delivered several similar assignments and can demonstrate this through relevant reference projects. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing, and are comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and disciplines. You are self-motivated, structured and communicative, with clear leadership qualities and the ability to lead and coordinate work independently. Experience in project or sub-project management within technical facility documentation is highly valued. You hold a valid B driving licence and are willing to undergo security clearance if required.

About the role
As Sub-Project Manager for Technical Documentation, you operate at a strategic level with overall responsibility for documentation coordination within the investment projects. You act as the main interface between the project organisation and the management organisation for all technical documentation matters. From the moment you are appointed to a project, you ensure that all documentation activities defined within the company's documentation process are planned, executed and delivered throughout the project lifecycle.

You are responsible for developing documentation requirements, budgets, schedules and resource plans, as well as establishing documentation plans, document lists and project-specific instructions in close collaboration with the main project manager and other sub-project managers. You support technical sub-project managers, coordinate documentation deliveries across all project phases, lead review processes, and ensure compliance with internal standards, templates and procedures. You also ensure that final plant technical documentation is delivered in a manageable format to the documentation administration function and that all required information is transferred to the IFS maintenance system. Continuous reporting, stakeholder coordination and proactive risk and budget management are key elements of the role.

About the company
Applica's client is a leading energy company responsible for large-scale, technically complex facilities that play a critical role in the company's infrastructure. The organisation operates within structured project and documentation processes, with high requirements for quality, safety and long-term asset management. Projects are carried out across multiple operational sites and may include security-classified facilities, requiring a high level of professionalism, trust and compliance.

What’s on offer?
This assignment offers the opportunity to take on a key strategic role within major investment projects, working closely with experienced project teams in a technically advanced environment. You will gain exposure to complex plant documentation, cross-functional collaboration and long-term infrastructure development. The role is based in Stockholm with ongoing presence at the sites and plants. There is potential for contract extension under the same conditions, and you will work within a well-established PMO structure that values quality, clarity and leadership in project delivery.
