Our client is a leading EPC company that provides services to the energy industry. The client offers services across the entire lifecycle of energy assets, including concept development, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and maintenance.


About the Role
As an SAS Engineer, you will be taking responsibility for SAS system design, integration, and engineering delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and integrating Safety and Automation Systems (SAS)
  • Participating in fire and gas safety reviews
  • Developing system designs for process, utility, and electrical systems, including interfaces, functional specifications, SCDs, and HMI inputs
  • Supporting equipment package and electrical automation system integration
  • Preparing engineering documentation including F&G, Cause & Effect charts, SCDs, ESD/PSD block logic, and work packages
  • Coordinating with vendors, reviewing technical documentation, and participating in FAT activities
  • Managing engineering interfaces with other disciplines, suppliers, and the client
  • Maintaining engineering documents, data registers, and project schedules
  • Supporting procurement activities and package follow-up
  • Providing support during installation, commissioning, and modifications of SAS-related systems
  • Conducting offshore surveys when required
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring quality and HSSE compliance
  • Identifying and managing engineering changes throughout project execution

About You
To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an engineer within SAS, automation, or control systems
  • Experience specifying, designing, integrating, and commissioning process control and monitoring systems
  • Strong understanding of Fire & Gas systems, ESD, PSD, and safety shutdown systems
  • Experience translating process requirements into automation system functionality
  • Ability to take ownership of procurement packages and vendor follow-up activities
  • Experience reviewing supplier documentation and verifying software and hardware deliverables
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary engineering interfaces, including process, electrical, safety, and HVAC disciplines
  • Knowledge of NORSOK I-002 and IEC/PAS 63131:2017 standards
  • Offshore safety training (GSK)
  • Proficiency with engineering tools such as TIME, Visio, and MicroStation CAD
  • Strong communication skills in English
